 As a company, we all have responsibilities with our employees, shareholders, suppliers and customers. We also have a responsibility with the country in which we live as well as the countries we do business with.
We have been blessed to work with flowers, a product given to us by Mother Nature, that is not only beautiful but also enlighten our daily lives. Pretty, Gorgeous, divine, beautiful, nice, amazing are a few of the words used to describe our flowers.
Have you ever seen a house, room, hotel lobby, office, conference room, that look better with out flowers? I have not. Flowers always make everything looks nicer and as we now know, they also help improve our productivity, mood, morale and helps as an antidepressant.
There are many Miami Importers or growers where you can buy your flowers. One thing I can guarantee you is that every flower you purchase from our company comes from one of the best farms around the world. The quality and consistency of our flowers is achieved thru a very long process that I want to share with you because this is the basis of my comment of “being a responsible business person”.
To grow a good flower you need to do everything right from the very beginning:
- Selecting the land, type of soil, microclimate.
- Building your Greenhouses; Proper height, proper ventilation, proper light, adequate resistance, etc.
- Hiring the best workers and properly training them. Paying them more than minimum wage and accordingly to their skills, giving all the fringe benefits required by law and more if you can. Keeping their morale and motivation high.
- Building the infrastructure so your workers have a nice and decent place to work. Dinning Room, Bathrooms, Lockers, Rest Areas.
- Selecting the proper varieties and Breeders.
